Why Train With Kettlebells

The benefits and appeal of kettlebell training are many and varied, and so, on occasion are the reservations people have about using them.

Many people’s first impression of the kettlebell are that it looks scary and dangerous. Well looks can be deceptive as this could not be further from the truth.

Granted when you see someone throwing a huge ball of iron around the gym you could be forgiven for having this same misconception, but the truth is that it is actually one of the best forms of building true functional fitness and rehabilitating muscular imbalances and injuries.

Not only that Kettlebells help to develop the following attributes:

  • Power

  • Muscular Endurance

  • Muscular Strength

  • Injury Prevention

  • Aerobic Endurance

  • Functionality

  • Flexibility

  • Motor Skills

Let's face it, any piece of training equipment can be dangerous if not used with correct technique and understanding all of its training principles. Any form of training is only as good the person using it or teaching it.

Another reason to train with kettlebells is the fact that you will get the benefits of strength training, cardiovascular fitness and flexibility all in one workout, and it is incredibly metabolically demanding which makes it unbeatable as a fat burner.

Where else can you get all this in one from training?

kettlebells deliver the perfect combination of strength and endurance, cardiovascular fitness, explosive agility, stamina and fat loss.

About The Coach

me before and after.gif

In 2002 Jason started his own body transformation after years of being overweight and unhappy about how he looked and felt.

He gave up his sedentary job and lifestyle in London so that he could take back control of his health and body shape while making a career change by returning to education to study sports science as a mature student. This lead him to coaching other men and women who were in a similar position to where he once was.

But it was in 2007 when he discovered Kettlebells and has been coached by numerous coaches including world renowned coach Steve Cotter.

Kettlebell training changed the way Jason trained forever and has since gone on to coach numerous clients both online and offline on how to train with their own bodyweight and kettlebells at home or in a group environment while eating a healthier diet to support their training and for overall fat loss, endurance, strength and lean muscle.

Today at 44, a busy dad of 2 and business owner his time like most is limited and Kettlebell training from home makes up the bulk of his training alongside local outdoor trails and hill sprints in order to prepare for obstacle races, something that Jason found quite late on but has become addicted to ever since.
