7 steps to super health & fitness

I'm not going to beat around the bush with this.....

OK so in no order these tips are your best weapons for getting yourself in good shape and reclaiming your health.

1. REDUCE STRESS

This is the big one and often overlooked. Compounding stress will do you more harm than good so list the stressors in your life then systematically work to reduce and remove them. Which brings us to the next one.

2. SLEEP

Aim for between 7 & 9 hours of unbroken sleep (yes a novelty for some) and make sure your bedroom is like a cave, pitch black with no sounds. Your skin is a giant receptor and so even faint lights flashing while things charge etc is a stimulus you do not need.

3. DIET

I don't mean go on a diet, I mean the food that you eat daily. Diet is essential as its your fuel.

Go for single ingredient and whole foods and rotate them on a regular basis. Carbs are best either side of training for most people and ensure every meal has a quality protein source as the body does not store it.

THE POWER OF SLEEP

4. HYDRATION

Many physicians have said that many common disorders they come across are both mental and physical in nature can be improved by increasing water intake.

Ideally 1 litre per 20kg of bodyweight is a good start. Increase this for training days and when temperature and humidity rise.

5. EXERCISE

This goes without saying....move daily and move well.

You do not need to be an athlete and any basic form of bodyweight and resistance training will be 5 times better than the sofa.

A simple kettlebell complex with some gentle jogging intervals and static holds is a perfect start.

Start light and slowly, then progress as you get more confident. The only bad workout was the one you missed.

6. ACCOUNTABILITY

Let people know you are making an effort to change and make yourself accountable.

Post in the KEBOfit group about your goals and update regularly on your progress.

You will find you get a lot of support and advice and this will help you stick with it longterm.

7. EDUCATE YOURSELF

If you are very serious about long term health then the best investment is a coach, that part you've done as you are here!!

The internet is awash with peddlars selling junk and so moving to a professional you can be sure to get the right information before wasting your time and money and still having no idea what to do.

Make sure you get as much out of the KEBOfit Academy, its an educational powerhouse.

Not only will you be lean and fit, you'll also have the education to make it all sustainable.
